who shows the most heart every year at the Fun Hunt.

Below are some of the pictures taken at the 2008 9th annual Fun Hunt.  The event was sponsored by Brandywine Creek Boykin Spaniels and  J&L Boykin Spaniels and was held at Glenns Valley Conservation Club 12 miles south of Indianapolis, IN.  26 dogs participate in water retrieving and an upland bird hunt.  Any dog that completed their water retrieves and found 3 birds was awarded a completion ribbon. The event was attended by 50 Boykin Spaniels (including puppies) and their families.   Some arrived early on Friday and participated in an HRC practice and ended with a Fish Fry Friday night.  

Saturday started out with water retrieves and a 3 bird hunt.  An HRC simulated test demonstration and Duck Dog Shootout continued throughout the day Saturday.  The day concluded with the distribution of ribbons, a raffle, live auction and the presentation of the 'Maggie Award'.   An 870 gun was raffled off and was won by Matt from WI.   We want to thank everyone who attended this year, despite the high gas prices we had a great turnout. 

Some of the states represented were:  IN, WI, OH, IL, GA, MA, CO, MO, KY and Toronto, Canada.  Thanks to everyone who pitched in and made this day a success.
